Founded in 1992 as a non-profit theater company, Chicago Kids Company has produced 53 original musicals based on fairy tales and children’s stories. CKC performs for over 50,000 people each year. Chicago Kids Company productions feature professional actors, sing-along songs, brightly colored costumes and sets, up-to-date references, and are geared for children ages 2 to 10 and their families.
The two co-founders of CKC (Paige Coffman and Jesus Perez) still run the show! Together they write, direct, compose, design, and create their signature colorful entertaining productions. This award-winning duo has written and produced every single CKC show for the past 25 years.
CKC’s productions are original musicals adapted from Classic Fairy Tales. They feature professional actors, up-to-date references, sing-along songs, brightly colored costumes and sets, and some of the goofiest characters you’ll ever see on stage!
All CKC productions are geared for children ages 2 to 10. CKC shows are perfect for Field Trips, Family Get-Togethers, Birthday Parties, … or just a family outing! Now in its 25th season, Chicago Kids Company is thrilled to continue to share the joy of theatre!

Co-Founder, Executive Producer
Originally from New Jersey, Paige holds a degree in Theatre from Northwestern University….Go ‘Cats! Paige co-founded Chicago Kids Company in 1992, and is still thrilled to go to work everyday to play with such talented people. Paige has written every song you’ll hear in every CKC production (over 150 to date!), and choreographed every dance step. Paige began her career as a professional actress and joined the Actors Equity Association in 1998. Back in the 80’s and 90’s you may have seen her perform in over 30 productions for children in several Chicago theatres, including Drury Lane Theatre in Evergreen Park, Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook, and the Marriott’s Lincolnshire Theatre.
Paige manages the business, marketing, advertising and design. She also writes all the music for the shows, choreographs, and designs the lights and sound.
Co-Founder, Artistic Director
Jesus was raised both in Illinois and Puerto Rico, and studied Theatre at Joliet Junior College and Lewis University. He co-founded Chicago Kids Company way back in 1992, and has created the colorful design of every CKC production. (It’s Jesus’ voice you hear right before every performance reciting the “rules”). He has created every costume, every set piece, and every prop, in addition to writing the script for every show. Jesus is a Jeff-Award winning Costume Designer and has designed costumes for Circle Theater in Forest Park, Village Players in Oak Park, and Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater in Grand Lake, Colorado.
Jesus writes the scripts, directs the shows, and builds the costumes, scenery, and props.
Jack is excited to be joining his pals at CKC in this new role. He first met Jesus Perez at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater and was soon after appearing in shows at CKC. You may remember him from The Tortoise and The Hare, Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel. Jack received his B.A. in Theatre from Loyola University Chicago, completed the Acting Intensive Program at South Coast Repertory Theatre, is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has worked extensively as an actor regionally, in Chicago, and in Los Angeles. Jack is thrilled to be a part of CKC’s rich history and looks forward to helping shape its future.
Jack manages the office including all ticket sales and contracts, social media, marketing, website, and branding.
Corey is originally from Indiana and attended Ball State University. For the past 8 years, you may have seen Corey on the CKC stage playing Pinocchio, Jack, Foxy Loxy, and many others…and is our current Chester in “Mrs. Claus”! Corey also works at Saint Francis Xavier in Wilmette teaching theatre. Performing for- and teaching arts to children has always been a huge part of his life. He continues to bring his passion for theatre to his students, audiences and fellow actors, and is so happy to be continuing in the success of this amazing company.
Corey oversees all aspects of every CKC production including: Casting, Rehearsals, Directing, Choreographing, Scenery, Props, Lights & Sound.
